This course is recommended for restaurant employees, food service personnel, those working with high risk individuals, and anyone wanting to learn choke safety. This course teaches a person how to recognize a choking victim, and to respond using abdominal thrusts. Practical training with manakins and discusssion are included with this course.
Upon completion each student will receive a certificate valid for 2 years.
This class is taught by American Heart Association certified instructors.
This course certification meets the 105 CMR 605.000 mandated regulation for Massachusetts that states that each food service establishment having a seating capacity of more than 25 persons or more shall: have on its premises, while food is being served, employees trained in, manual procedure approved by the Department to remove food lodged in a persons throat.
